Insurance Traineeship Programs General Insurance and Insurance Broking Certificate III in Financial Services FNS30104 The Institute offers practical, flexible traineeships in general insurance and insurance broking. Institute traineeships are employment-based training programs delivered in your workplace and can be completed within two years. They are available to school-leavers, part-time secondary students, or anyone wishing to start a career in insurance at entry level. Traineeships are a great way to bring young people into your company and train them in your business culture. Institute traineeships have been benchmarked against the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF), resulting in a nationally recognised and quality assured qualification. An individual insurance-based training plan will be developed in conjunction with your company for each trainee. On successful completion, the trainee earns:
- Certificate III in Financial Services
- ASIC Tier 2 compliance in general insurance.
Benefits for Employers The Institute’s Insurance Traineeship programs develop: Skilled, Versatile and Productive Workers As all learning occurs on the job, Institute traineeships produce employees who become familiar with your work environment whilst also gaining insurance specific knowledge. Flexible Delivery The Certificate III in Financial Services is delivered by a mix of distance learning resources, support from Institute staff and coaching by employer personnel in the workplace. This helps to minimise disruption to your day-to-day business and means that your trainee will be learning and gaining competence in the workplace whilst still contributing to business operations rather than attending external classes. Financial Incentives Most employers are eligible to receive a government wage subsidy based on the trainee’s age and level of prior qualifications. Please contact your local Australian Apprenticeship Centre on 1800 338 022 for detailed information on government incentives.
