Deakin University, Australia The Graduate Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance/Finance) The Graduate Diploma of Financial Services is available to those who have completed an undergraduate degree, or hold equivalent academic qualifications, or to Senior Associates of the Institute who have at least five years professional experience in the insurance industry. The Graduate Diploma of Financial Services is an 8 unit course which includes either an Insurance or Financial Planning specialisation. Graduates of the Graduate Diploma of Financial Services will gain 100 points towards Institute CIP Fellowship. Studies in Hong Kong Deakin University's Graduate Diploma of Insurance is also available through the Vocational Training Council (VTC) in Hong Kong. Master of Business Administration (MBA) The Deakin MBA is a twelve unit program that contains an Insurance specialisation. It is open to those who have a first degree and two years relevant work experience. Applicants who do not hold a degree but have a minimum of seven years relevant work experience may apply for the Graduate Certificate of Business Administration. Those who have completed the Graduate Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance/Finance) may obtain significant advanced standing towards Deakin’s Master of Business Administration (MBA). Graduates of the Master of Business Administration with specialisations in Insurance or Financial Planning will be eligible to receive 100 points towards ANZIIF Fellowship. Master of Commerce The Master of Commerce is a twelve unit program with specialisations in insurance and financial planning. The degree is offered by coursework. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline to be eligible for admission. Selection will be on the basis of academic results.

Master of Insurance and Risk Management The Master of Insurance and Risk Management provides specific education and professional accreditation for those graduate-level industry entrants in the general insurance sectors of the insurance industry. In addition to the core units, the course includes an elective business practicum unit that provides students with the opportunity to undertake appropriate and relevant experiential learning in a business context.
