Students should carefully check the enrolment confirmation and advise the Customer Service team immediately if any amendments need to be made. When do the learning materials arrive? Students should expect to receive study materials prior to the commencement of the enrolled study period. Late enrolments can result in delayed study materials. Learning materials for selected modules are available online as well as in hard copy. If the module is also available online (which will be advised in the enrolment confirmation), students may log in and access their learning materials. Online access allows students to view, read and print learning materials. Even if the module is available online, a hard copy version will still be sent. The hard copy of the learning materials must be sent to students at work, as deliveries must be signed for, so it is essential that the Institute is informed about any changes to contact details. It is the student’s responsibility to contact the Institute if the materials don’t arrive within the specified time frame. The Institute cannot take responsibility for materials failing to arrive if we are not notified. How to re-enrol in a module Students are required to successfully complete both their assignment and examination in order to pass a module. If either assessment needs to be repeated, students may re-enrol in just the assessment item to be recompleted at a discounted fee per assessment item for up to six months after results are released for their original enrolment. Students wishing to re-enrol in a module need to download a re-enrolment form and sent it to the Institute. Re-enrolment cannot be done online. For current re-enrolment fees, please refer to the current Price Guide. Only access to electronic copies of the materials will be provided upon enrolment. Students can use their existing printed materials, but should check the website for the latest version of both the study materials and assignment (if the assignment needs to be resubmitted).
Changes to enrolment Withdrawing from study When withdrawing from a module, the Institute must be informed in writing within four weeks of the Study Period commencing (Enrolment Change date listed on the Academic Calendar). If a student has chosen to withdraw, the withdrawal will be noted on their academic record.
The student will not be eligible for a credit but can enrol in the new module at a discounted fee provided they do so within six months of the original enrolment date. If withdrawal takes place before this date, 25% of fees will be retained to cover administrative costs and 75% of fees will be held in credit on your account towards a future enrolment or Institute membership payment. Any credit must be used within one year of the date of issue. If the Institute is not notified before this date, the student will not be eligible for any credit. See the Academic Calendar for all key enrolment dates. Transferring enrolment to a future Study Period Students may transfer from one Study Period to another once only for each module, provided the new Study Period begins within six months of the original enrolment date. To transfer to a new Study Period, the student must notify the Institute in writing within four weeks of the Study Period commencing. An additional administrative fee applies for enrolment transfers, payable at the time of the request. For the current administrative fee, please refer to the current Price Guide. If the Institute is not notified of the intention to transfer before the required date, students will have the option of completing the module within the original Study Period or withdrawal from study. An additional administrative fee will apply for enrolment substitutions (plus any difference between the original enrolment fee and the new enrolment fee where the new enrolment fee is higher). The Institute will not grant any special consideration for reduced study time caused by changing modules during a Study Period. If the Institute is not notified by the required date, students will have the option of completing the module within the original Study Period or withdrawal from study.
Changing examination venues StStudents may change their examination venue provided that the Institute is notified within four weeks of the Study Period commencing. A request for change of examination venue must be accompanied by an administrative fee. For the current administrative fee, please refer to the Price Guide.
