Benfield-Link Reinsurance Scholarship
The Benfield-Link Scholarship was established by Benfield New Zealand in conjunction with the NZ-UK Link Foundation and the Institute to recognise an outstanding New Zealand insurance professional and encourage educational links between New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
The winner of the Benfield-Link Scholarship will have the rare opportunity to spend four to six weeks living and working in one of the most dynamic insurance markets in the world – the London Reinsurance market. While there the recipient will gain a sophisticated understanding of the London and global reinsurance markets, from both a broker and a reinsurance underwriter’s perspective. The scholarship is awarded biennially to a New Zealand insurance professional who is studying towards an Institute qualification, including the Fellowship studies or other relevant industry qualification. The scholarship covers the recipient’s airfares, transfers and accommodation and all approved living expenses incurred while participating in this program. It will also cover registration fees for courses undertaken by the recipient as part of the scholarship.
