There are a number of pathways to Institute membership for those who have studied with the Institute or equivalent qualifications around the world, or those who are members of other international insurance associations.

ANZIIF Qualifications

The Institute’s Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications are accredited, meet industry competency standards, and include ASIC compliance requirements for Australian financial services professionals.

The Institute offers award courses in the following streams:

• Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking)
• Diploma of Financial Services – Life Insurance

• Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning)
• Advanced Diploma of Financial Services – Risk Management
• Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning)
• Diploma of Personal Injury Management (Workers Compensation)

While studying with the Institute, students become part of a community of more than 12,000 insurance professionals and on successful completion of a full qualification, are invited to become Certified Insurance Professionals.

Overseas Membership Pathways

The Institute offers special membership arrangements for graduates with relevant overseas qualifications.

The following qualifications have been matched against the Institute’s membership levels and offer membership at these levels.

If your qualification is not listed above and has been completed within the last six years, you may apply for an assessment process known as Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) by Credit Transfer. For more information on RPL, click here.
