Australian Insurance Industry Awards

The Australian Insurance Industry Awards are hosted by the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) and founding partner Asia Insurance Review (AIR) to honour the achievements of companies and individuals within the Australian insurance market throughout the previous year.

The awards unite all sectors of the insurance industry to celebrate its dedication to best practice and high achievement.
As a reflection of the growing importance of the awards the Institute is pleased to announce that this year they will be split into two separate awards, one for the Australian market culminating in the Awards ceremony in Sydney on August 16, and one, to be held on November 1 for the New Zealand market. The Institute believes that this move will reflect the strengths and individuality of each market in the years to come.

Thirteen award categories provide companies and individuals the opportunity to demonstrate the highest standards of best practice and innovative initiatives in their field:

• Medium Broker of the Year               
• Large Broker of the Year 
• Small/Medium General Insurance Company of the Year 
• Large General Insurance Company of the Year 
• Insurance Leader of the Year 
• Law Firm/Practitioner of the Year 
• Life Insurance Company of the Year 
• Claims Service Provider of the Year 
• Underwriting Agency of the Year 
• Service Provider to the Insurance Industry
• Reinsurance Company of the Year
• Innovation of the Year 
• ANZIIF Fellow - Lifetime Achievement Award

With the exception of the ANZIIF Fellow Lifetime Achievement Award, companies, teams or individuals can be nominated for an award by a third party or by self-nomination through submission of an application. For more information on each of the awards click on the links above.

Each award category is adjudicated by a distinguished panel of industry judges and is independently audited by Ernst & Young to ensure proceedings are conducted with the greatest integrity.

Award winners are announced and presented at an Awards Presentation Gala attended by over 800 industry leaders and members.
